Moldovan president signs decree on establishing new composition of Supreme Security Council

Chisinau, 4 August /MOLDPRES/ - President Nicolae Timofti has signed a decree on setting up a new composition of the Supreme Security Council (CSS), the presidency's press service has reported.
Under the decree, Supreme Commander of Armed Forces, President Nicolae Timofti is the CSS head. The advisor to the president on defence and national security issues Alexei Barbaneagra is appointed as Secretary of the council.
The members of the Supreme Security Council are:
Finance Minister Anatol Arapu;
Head of the Security and Intelligence Service Mihai Balan;
Interior Minister Oleg Balan;
Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu;
Head of the National Anticorruption Centre Viorel Chetraru;
Head of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Duca Gheorghe;
Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party’s parliamentary faction, Vladimir Filat;
Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Natalia Gherman;
Leader of the Liberal Party’s parliamentary faction, Ghimpu Mihai;
General Prosecutor Gurin Corneliu;
Leader of the Democratic Party’s parliamentary faction, Lupu Marian;
Secretary General of President’s Apparatus Ion Paduraru;
Prime Minister Strelet Valeriu;
Defence Minister Salaru Anatolie;
Head of the parliamentary commission for national security, defence and public order Veaceslav Untila.
