Russian service lifts restrictions to can export for two Moldovan companies

Chisinau, 7 August /MOLDPRES/ - The Russian Service for Consumer Protection, Rosspotrebnadzor, has lifted the bans on export of fruits and vegetables cans to Russia for two Moldovan companies, with another company due to get the right to supply products in the near future, according to a press release by Rosspotrebnadzor.
Alfa-Nistru and Natur-Bravo, which are among the biggest companies in the sector, have got the right to deliver cans to Russia. The products of Iliada-Plus company, which are presently tested in the laboratories of Rosspotrebnadzor, might return to the Russian market in the near future. Moscow prohibited Moldovan cans import in July 2014.
Rosspotrebnadzor specifies that, at the first stage of unblocking of exports, each batch of goods will be checked and subjected to expertise in laboratory.
In late June 2015, a group of experts of the aforementioned service inspected six Moldovan can factories. Three of these, namely Alfa-Nistru, Natur Bravo and Iliada-Plus, have already presented samples for tests in the specialised laboratory of Rosspotrebnadzor, Moldovan Agriculture and Food Industry Minister said after meeting the Russian delegation.
The Moldovan officials informed the Russian delegation „about the advanced system of production and control of Moldovan products meant for export, from the viewpoint of security and food safety”.
