Government improves mechanism coordinating foreign assistance provided to Moldova

Chisinau, 12 August /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet today approved the decision on regulating the institutional framework and mechanism coordinating foreign assistance provided to Moldova by international organisations and donor countries, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.

The document is meant to adjust the normative framework in the area to new requirements, in order to increase efficiency, sustainability and transparency of foreign assistance. The major modifications refer to institutionalise and improve the process of updating of two electronic platforms.

The first modification refers to platform to manage foreign assistance www.amp.gov.md, by which it is set the electronic reporting, being regulated the standard format to work out reports on foreign assistance.

The second modification refers to the platform www.finantare.gov.md - meant to inform public regarding the available financial assistance and the goal of which is to facilitate communication between the government and business environment. Under the document, any new financing scheme, launched in order to support the business environment, or any modification in the present financing schemes will be provided by responsible institutions to the State Chancellery in order to be placed on the single platform www.finantare.gov.md. These conditions refer both to foreign financial resources and budgetary ones.

The respective adjustments will contribute to make more transparent the foreign assistance and develop the business environment in favourable conditions, by providing updated information for free.
