Chisinau, 14 August /MOLDPRES/- Despite the fact that co-heads of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), representatives of OSCE Mission and Ukraine assumed commitments, for the summer holidays period in JCC, on non-admission of unilateral actions that might lead to a destabilization of the situation in the Security Zone, the Transnistrian side breached them, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Thus, without notifying the Joint Military Command of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces, on 11 August 2015, the representatives of "Transnistrian region's military department" set out a "point of monitoring, research and communication" nearby the Roghi village, eastern Dubasari district, and practiced research activities by using special means. The actions of Transnistrian servicemen were carried out under the direct leadership of the so-called "deputy defence minister of Transnistria", colonel Igor Dovgulich, with the involvement of eight units of military equipment and a staff of more than 30 people, some of them armed with automatic weapons.
The Transnistrian servicemen ceased the activities and left the place of exercises while Moldovan peace keepers, policemen from the Police Inspectorate of Ustia village, Dubasari district, and local residents were collecting facts on the events.
On this account, the Moldovan delegation to JCC notified without delay the components of the Commission (Russia, Transnistria, OSCE Mission and Ukraine) and demanded that the Tiraspol representatives provide detailed information on what happened.
Given that the actions occurred with serious violation of the present regime in the Security Zone, the political representative in negotiations on Transnistrian settlement on behalf of Chisinau asked his Transnistrian counterpart for explanations on the event, as well as to observe the commitments taken within JCC in the long run.
