Moldovan PM meets Russian envoy

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet today met Russian Ambassador to Moldova Farit Muhametsin, the government's communication and media relations department has reported.
Farit Muhametsin congratulated Strelet on his appointment.
The officials exchanged opinions about the current issues on the Moldovan-Russian bilateral agenda.
Muhametsin said that after a phone conversation between the two heads of government, of 14 August, the sides were to take concrete actions to resume the activity of the intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation this autumn. This will allow identifying mutually acceptable solutions to cancel barriers in the economic relations between the two countries.
Strelet voiced hope that the resumption of dialogue at intergovernmental level, as well as direct ties between the relevant institutions from Moldova and Russia would significantly contribute to solving the current problems on Moldovan-Russian cooperation.
