Foreign donors hold meeting at Moldovan government

Chisinau, 21 April /MOLDPRES/ - A meeting of foreign donors took place at the government today. The event was organised in order to coordinate the work in terms of implementation of the projects and programmes aimed at strengthening trust between residents from both banks of Dniester, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan and Head of the EU Delegation to Moldova Pirkka Tapiola, who was also the meeting’s moderator.
The working agenda comprised subjects on the evolution of the process of negotiations on Transnistrian settlement, facilitating the trade with EU, aspects concerning the economic situation and prospects for setting joint control points at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border (on Transnistrian segment), unveiling the progress recorded within the Support to Confidence Building Measures Programme and other similar projects, implemented in cooperation with the European Union, United Nations Development Programme, World Health Organisation, International Organisation for Migration, United Nations Children’s Fund, United States Agency for International Development, diplomatic missions accredited in Moldova, etc.
