Moldovan president, Presidency's employees join books donation action, within Library under Fir Tree campaign

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu and the Presidency’s employees today joined the action of donating books within the Library under Fir Tree campaign, organized by the government.  

According to the head of state, the campaign’s goal is to back the centres of placement for children and hospitals from Moldova, which have rooms arranged, meant for the small readers.

„Along with the colleagues of the Presidency, we went to donate books, due to reach hospitals and centres of placement for children. You can join the Library under Fir Tree campaign – a wonderful initiative, through which the government collects books for small readers from all over the country. People interested can bring books till 30 December, at 17:00, at the Government Building, the entrance from the Metropolitan Gavriil Banulescu-Bodoni Street,’’ Maia Sandu said.       

More state institutions and official delegations, willing to give presents to children, joined the campaign as well.

More than 5,500 books were collected within the Library under Fir Tree last year, which were distributed to more than 50 school libraries.
