Moldovan producers to be able to export poultry to EU

Chisinau, Dec. 20 /MOLDPRES/- The Republic of Moldova has been authorized to export to the European Union as of 1 January 2025 poultry meat products "which do not need to be subject to a specific risk mitigation treatment in accordance with Annex XXVI of Regulation (EU) 2020/692.

Thus, the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) urges the private sector to submit to the authority's headquarters the application for the export of poultry meat products.

"The use of poultry meat raw material from slaughterhouses that are listed with the right to export to the European Union will be allowed for the production of poultry meat preparations," explains ANSA.

The first exports of poultry meat from the Republic of Moldova to EU member states were launched from November 2024.
