Chisinau, 21 April /MOLDPRES/-Prime Minister Pavel Filip visited the gymnasium and kindergarten from Limbenii Noi village, Glodeni district today. Both institutions have been restored after a recent fire, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
“I am glad to see people getting together and solving their problems. It means we are a responsible society. The way parents and teachers have mobilized to alleviate the consequences of the fire, is the best example of social participation aimed to overcome all the difficulties and crises. We often focus on global problems, leaving the human side behind,” Filip emphasized during his talk with the administration, teachers and parents.
The prime minister also reminded that the government had approved the allotment of 28,884 lei to liquidate the consequences of the fire both the gymnasium and the kindergarten had been caught in.
The head of the gymnasium from Limbenii Noi village, Vera Nafornita said the educational process had been interrupted by the fire for a period of four days. During this time, parents in cooperation with the teachers and technical staff, approximately 50-60 people, repaired the classrooms.
In this context, Filip reminded about the need to ensure children’s safety and install a modern fire alarm system, in order to prevent such cases from happening in the future.
The building of the gymnasium from Limbenii Noi village was caught by fire on 6 April 2016. The fire reached some of the rooms of a nearby kindergarten. Children were safely evacuated thanks to the prompt intervention of authorities.
Almost 147 pupils are currently attending the gymnasium and 41 children attend the kindergarten.
