Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/-The Joint Control Commission (JCC) met in Bender on 21 April. The meeting was chaired by the co-chairman of Russia’s delegation, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
Representatives of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Cristian Mura, Lourens Sits and Anton Tomsen were approved during the meeting. The participants have also confirmed the deputy head of the Interior Ministry’s General Police Inspectorate, Colonel Gheorghe Cavcaliuc as a permanent expert of the Moldovan delegation to JCC, as well as Major Andrei Peuthov, as representative of the Russian delegation. The commission also examined two weekly reports on the situation in the Security Zone.
As for the examination of the free movement in the Security Zone, the commission was supposed to continue its activity to finalize the monitoring mechanism in the Security Zone, in compliance with the agreements made under the aegis of the Russian co-chairman, who coordinated the actions with the participation of the heads of delegations of representatives of the OSCE Mission and Ukraine to JCC.
Moldova’s delegation to JCC ascertains that all efforts taken by the head of the Russian delegation had been sabotaged by the Transnistrian side, which had provocative and destructive approaches, vehemently neglecting the agreements reached during the above-mentioned meetings. Such actions prove the Transnistrian side’s unwillingness to positively settle current problems in the Security Zone, which obviously blocks the activity of JCC and discredits the peacekeeping mechanism.
Moreover, the Transnistrian side accused Moldovan authorities of unauthorized flights in the Security Zone, carried out by foreign aircraft, requiring that JCC holds an extraordinary meeting in Bender on 22 April 2016 , at 10:00.
In this context, the Moldovan delegation reminded that it had informed JCC during its meeting on 11 February 2016 of the flights planned in March-May 2016, in order to carry out aerial photography and real estate lase scanning works and update cadastral documents.
During today’s meeting of delegations and representatives of the OSCE Mission and Ukraine to JCC, Moldova’s delegation made an appeal on the deliberate misinformation and accusations made by the Transnistrian side, against the flights aimed to update cadastral materials and map Moldova’s territory.
Transnistria’s suggestion to summon JCC’s extraordinary meeting was not backed by any of the sides.
