Moldovan delegation takes part in meeting of Eastern Partnership's platform

Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of Moldova, led by deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari, today participated in the 15th meeting of the multilateral platform, Democracy, Good Governance and Stability, of the Eastern Partnership, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication department has reported.
The event’s agenda comprised discussions on the process of revision of the Democracy, Good Governance and Stability multilateral platform in mid-term, results of the cooperation in the common security and defence policy, public administration reform, gender policy, as well as in efforts of communication and information on the European integration dimension within the Eastern Partnership. Not in the least, the participants in the meeting discussed aspects on the framework of programmatic cooperation Council of Europe – European Union for the Eastern Partnership countries in 2015-2017.
On the occasion of her visit to Brussels, Deputy Minister Daniela Morari had meetings with Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia in the European External Action Service Thomas Mayr-Harting and Director for Neighborhood East, DG NEAR, EU Commission Lawrence Meredith. The officials discussed in detail the pace of the implementation of the Roadmap on the priority reforms agenda, as well as EU’s assistance programmes for Moldova.
Also, the Moldovan official met Director, Strategy and General Affairs, DG Home, European Commission Marta Cygan and Head of Cabinet of EU Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality Renate Nikolay, with whom she tackled issues of mobility, authorities’ efforts in combating corruption and march of reforms in the justice sector.
