Moldovan speaker meets German economic experts

Chisinau, 28 April /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu today met German economic experts of Berlin Economics Company. The experts provide consultancy to authorities in the economic sector, in connection with enforcement of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The speaker appreciated the German experts’ experience, which could be turned to good account in order to implement diverse economic policies.

A special topic of the talks was focused on activities carried out withina project on consultancy provided by the German experts to the authorities from the Transnistrian region.

“We have to boost the dialogue with the authorities from the Transnistrian region, in order to find practical solutions to citizens’ problems. The Moldovan parliament is open to provide support to the authorities from the Transnistrian region in all sectors of interest, given the new realities related to the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area”, Candu said.

In another context, the speaker said that there was political will in Chisinau to resume the five-plus-two negotiations. Candu also informed that the parliament would create an internal mechanism of communication with negotiators in charge of the Transnistrian conflict settlement and would coordinate the actions with the government.

For their part, the economic experts assessed the economic policies and legal framework from the Transnistrian region.
