Moldovan cabinet appoints new director of National Cinematography Centre

Chisinau, 11 May A/MOLDPRES/ - The government today appointed film director, script writer, operator and producer Valeriu Jereghi as director of the National Cinematography Centre.
The new director was elected at a contest organised by the Culture Ministry. Valeriu Jereghi is Master of Arts, famous through his feature films, documentaries and scientific and publicistic movies. In 1975-2006, he shot eight feature films and 100 documentaries. Starting from 1978, he has been member of the Cinema Men Union. During his entire artistic career, Jereghi has worked in Yugoslavia, Romania, Austria, Hungary, Germany, France, Russia and Italy.
Within an international project, New Cinema, Moldovan Russian and Italian filmmakers launched in Moldova in 2009 a new international cinematography project, Love and War, after the same book by film director Valeriu Jereghi. The script writer won prizes at various International Cinema Festivals.
