Moldovan PM visits European Town

Chisinau, 14 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip has attended the official opening of the European Town, organized in the centre of Chisinau by the European Union Delegation to Moldova on the occasion of the Europe Day. The leaders of the principal institutions from Moldova, cabinet members, representatives of state’s institutions and diplomatic corps accredited in Chisinau participated in the event, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
The prime minister made a tour of the European Town, visiting the tents from the Stefan cel Mare public garden, where embassies of the European Union countries unveiled information on the culture and traditions of the native countries, as well as national dishes.
The Moldovan government was represented in the European Town also by more public authorities, with exhibitions of informative materials on projects carried out in Moldova with the support of European partners, education opportunities and other information on cooperation with the European Union.
On the occasion of the Europe Day, the government’s authorities organized more cultural and sports events, the goal of which is to promote the values, culture and traditions of the European Union countries, as well as to get Moldova closer to the great European family.
