Moldovan-American drills start in Chisinau today

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/ - A Moldovan-American exercise, Falcon Medic 2016, started today. About 70 military doctors from the National Army and North Carolina National Guard participate in the drills. The exercises are carried out on 16-27 May on the territory of the Chisinau-based Stefan cel Mare motorized infantry brigade.
The head of the National Army’s medical service, Lieutenant Colonel doctor Sergiu Cirlan said that the drills were aimed at training medical staff and would end with a simulation exercise on providing medical aid in case of disasters.
During the two weeks, 44 health professionals from National Army’s units and medial and military institutions, as well as 20 servicemen from the medical service of the North Carolina National Guard, USA, will test the present concept of medical assistance in operations, inter-operability and will elaborate proposals on optimizing the concept of providing medical assistance during disasters.
The Falcon Medic 2016 exercise is part of Nursing Programme, implemented in the National Army since 2013, with the support of the North Carolina National Guard.
