Moldovan foreign ministry informs about contest on selecting candidates for GRETA member position

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/- The Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has informed about the launch of a contest on selecting candidates for GRETA (Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings) member position, the MAEIE’s communication and media communication service has reported.

According to GRETA's rules of procedure, the mandate of 13 out of the 15 current members expires on 31 December 2016. Therefore, 43 countries parties to the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings, including Moldova, were invited to nominate candidates for elections due in Strasbourg on 4 November 2016.

The criteria of participation in the contest, stages and way of organizing and carrying out the selection are included in a national Regulation and Resolution of Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers  CM/Res (2013)28, which can be accessed below.

The deadline for submitting applications is 17 June 2016. The incomplete documents or the ones submitted after the expiration of the deadline are not accepted.

The application will comprise:

1.       CV in one of CoE's  official languages (English or French), according to the model annexed to Resolution of the Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers CM/Res(2013)28

2.       Copy of the identity card.
