Moldovan deputy foreign minister attends second francophone regional seminar

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Daniela Morari today participated in the opening of the second Francophone regional seminar on promoting gender equality in and through education, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
In her speech to the participants and guests and of event, Morari highlighted Moldova’s attachment to the French language and values of Francophonie. She also pointed out the need to consolidate the francophone cooperation in the region and commitment for human rights' observance, as well as the role of education in promoting gender equality.
The seminar was organized in cooperation with the International Organisation of La Francophonie (IOF) and with the participation of the Gender Centru non-governmental organization, in the context of the 20th anniversary of Moldova’s accession to IOF.
Attending the event were representatives of governmental and non-governmental institutions from the six full-fledged member states of the International Organisation of La Francophonie from Central and Eastern Europe (Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, former Yugoslav Republic Macedonia, Romania and Moldova), employees within IOF and francophone network for gender equality.
