Moldovan cabinet organises summer recreation for children

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/- The government today approved a decision on organizing summer recreation for children and teenagers in summer 2016. Under the document, the cabinet recommends the local public authorities to offer free of charge 25 per cent of all tickets to pupils, who achieved performance in education or are winners at school and extracurricular Olympiads, as well as to children from poor families, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

Remaining tickets are to be sold for a price of 20 per cent of total cost. At the same time, the Social Insurance Agency is to purchase and distribute, within available budget, rest sheets for children and teenagers. Under estimations, the cost of a day of rest for a child will vary between 120 and 183 lei.

The document also sees that the Education Ministry will cover the costs for participation of 100 pupils from Romania in Moldovan summer camps and for 45 children who will go to summer camp of Francophonie. Also, tourist routes will be organized for them to visit tourist places. At the same time, tickets will be purchased for pupils of the educational institutions from the eastern Moldova and Bender city.

The Health Ministry will ensure monitoring supply of the camps with medical equipment and medicines, as well as sanitary-epidemiological supervision. The Interior Ministry will monitor order and public security. Under the document, the preparation and endowment with equipment of camps and children’s health recreation facilities are to be completed till 23 May 2016, and their compliance with the minimum admissible conditions will be verified by representatives of the district local public administration.
