Moldovan deputy foreign minister receives head of Council of Europe's Office in Chisinau

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii on 24 May received Head of the Council of Europe’s (CoE) Office in Chisinau, José-Luis Herrero, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials exchanged opinions on up-to-date issues concerning the Moldova-CoE cooperation. In particular, the sides discussed the role of this organization in promoting democratic reforms, strengthening the inter-ethnic relations and Transnistrian conflict settlement process.
In this context, Deputy Minister Darii stressed the Council of Europe’s valuable contribution to promoting measures of consolidating confidence between the two banks of Dniester. The Moldovan official also welcomed the expertise provided by CoE in diverse sectors. Lilian Darii described this expertise as quite useful and indispensable in backing the present efforts of advancing the domestic reforms.
