National Anti-Corruption Centre officers raid at Chisinau city hall

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/- Officers of the National Anti-Corruption Centre (CNA) today morning raided at the Chisinau city hall and at the residence of civil servants on a new file on corruption. CNA press officer Angela Starinschi confirmed the information to this effect.

Accortding to Starinshi, presently, more searches are taking place on a new file on corruption, “in which employees of the city hall are involved too. Some searches have been completed, and the others are underway at the residence of some people. Subsequently, we will provide details”, she said.

Starinschi also noted that the searches would not have connection with the raids made at the Chisinau city hall of 22 February 2016, in which 17 persons had been suspected in a file on active and passive corruption. “The today’s actions are related to another file. The cause initiated in last February has been already sent to the law court,'' Starinschi added.
