Three international exhibitions inaugurated in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - Three international specialized exhibitions were inaugurated at the Chisinau-based Moldexpo Centre today. It is about an exhibition of equipment and technologies for processing food products, FOOD TECHNOLOGY, the 23rd issue, an exhibition of packaging, material, technologies and equipment for processing it, PACKAGING. DEPOT, the 21st issue, that will be staged till 28 May, and an exhibition of food products and raw material for making them, FOOD & DRINKS, the 23rd issue, due to be opened till 29 May.
About 150 companies from Moldova, Belarus, Italy, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, France, Spain, Turkey, Germany and Serbia participate in the three events.
Attending the opening of the exhibition, Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Eduard Grama said that, during the two decades, the exhibition FOOD & DRINKS had acquired a well-deserved reputation among producers from the food industry. Each year, this exhibition traditionally brings together Moldovan and foreign companies, which offer qualitative food products and beverages. The official noted that the concerned exhibition event was important, given that it promoted competitiveness and gives the participants possibility to establish cooperation relations and communicate directly with potential clients and business partners.
An International Gastronomic Championship will be organised at this exhibition, within which, during two days, the best cooks from Moldova, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, and Cyprus are to surprise the visitors with secrets of the national cuisine.
As for the FOOD TECHNOLOGY exhibition, according to organisers, this is the sole exhibition event of Moldova dedicated to technologies and equipment for the food industry. Also, PACKAGING. DEPOT is the only exhibition staged in Moldova, at which packaging, materials and equipment for producing them are provided.
The three events are organised by the Moldexpo International Exhibition Centre, with the support of the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry.
