Moldovan foreign minister on working visit to Georgia

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur is paying a working visit to Georgia, on 25-26 May 2016, at the invitation of his Georgian counterpart, Mikheil Janelidze, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The counterparts broached priorities on the bilateral cooperation agenda, focusing on the enlargement of the political dialogue, inclusively in the commercial-economic and cultural-humanitarian fields. They also discussed the need to deepen the cooperation within international organizations and Eastern Partnership. The officials reiterated their mutual support for Moldova’s and Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, emphasizing the imperative need to settle frozen political conflicts, observing international law norms.
Also today, Galbur held a meeting with Georgian State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration David Bakradze. The sides tackled the current implementation stage of the EU association agreement and benefits of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Zone for Moldovan and Georgian citizens. The officials voiced their availability to further collaborate in the implementation of reforms and modernization of both countries, in compliance with the EU association agreements. They have also focused on Moldova’s and Georgia’s cooperation ties with NATO.
