Turkish embassy donates vehicle for Moldovan disabled people

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/- The Turkish Embassy in Moldova today donated to the Chisinau city hall a specialized vehicle meant for people with disabilities of the locomotor apparatus and in risk situations.

At the event, Turkish Ambassador to Moldova Mehmet Selim Kartal said that the disabled people were members of a state; therefore, needed conditions should be created for them, in order to be able to easier integrate into the society.

“We are glad to have an as close as possible cooperation with the Chisinau city hall, in order to be able to provide the necessary support, as well as the assistance you need in order to carry out and develop new investment projects”, he said.

For his part, Deputy Mayor Nistor Grozavu thanked the ambassador for the car offered to the institution and noted that “this is an extremely important aid for persons with deficiencies of the locomotor apparatus.''

“The vehicle is a hope for this category of people, to be able to move much easier in the city and we are grateful for this humanitarian aid. I hope that we will have other collaboration, both in terms of social assistance and exchange of experience and specialists in different sectors”, Grozavu said.

The specialized car will be managed by the city hall’s social assistance department and the way how the vehicle is going to be used and its final beneficiaries are to be established.
