Moldovan, Russian officials discuss bilateral economic ties in Moscow

Chisinau, 27 May /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Octavian Calmic discussed the Moldovan-Russian commercial and economic relations at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Rogozin in Moscow today.

According to the Economics Ministry’s press service, the two officials tackled, in particular, issues of export in Moldovan goods to the Russian market, removing tariff and non-tariff obstacles to the mutual trade, simplifying the imports in agro-food and wine production to Russia.

Octavian Calmic and Dmitry Rogozin agreed that the Russian side would work out and submit, for coordination to the Moldovan side, a draft Roadmap, due to contain the activities both states will have to undertake in order to remove the present constraints.

Also, the officials approached subjects on developing the cooperation in the transports field and increase in the number of permits for transportation of goods by motor transport to/from third countries, both for 2016 and the next years.      

Octavian Calmic and Dmitry Rogozin also discussed the issue of organising the next meeting of the Moldovan-Russian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation, which, according to agreements between the sides, is to be held in Russia in next October.
