Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/-The draft decision on declaring the day of 1 June as day-off for Moldovan employees will be additionally included on the agenda of the cabinet meeting, due on 31 May.

If the cabinet approves the draft decision, the day of 1 June 2016 will be declared as day-off, however, “it is to be recovered on Saturday, 25 June, as the amendments to the Labour Code had not been made yet”.

The parliament adopted a draft decision at the end of last week, according to which International Children’s Day was declared as day-off for Moldovan employees. The initiative was submitted by Liberal MPs.

Moldova marks International Children’s Day on 1 June, in compliance with the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1959.
