Moldovan government declares International Children's Day as day-off

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ - The government, under the Decision No 674 from 31 May 2016, approved the declaring of 1 June – International Children’s Day, as day-off for Moldovan citizens, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.
”We have come up with a solution to the decision passed by the parliament. In this respect, we are to have a much more complex approach, including with amendments to the Labour Code. Nevertheless, I would like to say that the agenda for 1 June have been worked out long before, and to a great extent, the cabinet of ministers will work, as a string of very important meetings are planned,” the prime minister said, referring to this normative act.
The approved document is meant to back the amendments made by the parliament to the Parliament’ Decision No 433-XII from 26 December 1990 on commemorative days, holidays and days-off in Moldova.
The day of 1 June 2016 will be recovered on 25 June 2016.
