Moldovan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs participated at the Meet-ing of the SEECP Ministers of Foreign Affairs

Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Daniela Morari attended on Tuesday, 31 May 2016, in Pravets, Bulgaria, the meeting of the ministers of foreign affairs from the member states of the Southeast European Cooperation Process, organized under the auspices of Bulgaria’s acting Chairmanship in the SEECP, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication service has reported.
The meeting was held under the motto “SEECP – 20 Years – Key to Regional Cooperation”. In the framework of the event, the participants discussed about the latest developments and challenges in South-Eastern Europe and their effects on the regional situation and on the EU integration process of SEECP member-states.
During her speech, Daniela Morari has underlined the contribution of the Republic of Moldova within SEECP, through participation in regional initiatives (by hosting the South East Europe Military Intelligence Chiefs (SEEMIC) Conference, holding the chairmanship in the Police Cooperation Convention for Southeast Europe, etc.). In addition, the Deputy Minister also encouraged the continuous strengthening of the interaction between SEECP and the Regional Cooperation Council, the consolidation of the cooperation in the sectorial dimension through promoting interconnections in the field of transportation, in the energy security sector and infrastructure networks, as well as exploring the potential of new markets and development of trade.
At the same time, Ms Morari has reiterated Moldova’s commitment to continue its European integration path and implement political and economic reforms, in accordance with the provisions of the Association Agreement.
