Chisinau, 1 June /MOLDPRES/ - A Moldovan delegation, led by Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Balan, today will go to Berlin. The permanent conference on political issues in the Transnistrian settlement process (five-plus-two format of negotiations) will be resumed in the German capital on 2-3 June, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
The resumption of the talks in this format is due to the efforts made by the Moldovan authorities, who declare for holding a consistent dialogue, in constructive spirit, without any preconditions. It is also worth being appreciated the considerable involvement of international partners, representatives of the mediators and observers in the 5+2 format in this process, in particular, of the Special Representative of the German OSCE Chairperson-in-office, Ambassador Cord Meier-Klodt.
The working agenda comprises topical subjects of major interest for the residents from the two banks of Dniester, approached within the present platforms of dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol, which have turned more active on the last period.
The five-plus-two format of negotiations is represented by Chisinau and Tiraspol, Russia, Ukraine and OSCE, as well as by the United States and the European Union as observers.
The last round of five-plus-two talks took place in Vienna in June 2014.
