Moldovan National Bureau of Motor Insurers stays in Green Card system

Chisinau, 2 June /MOLDPRES/-The General Assembly of the members of the Council of Bureaux "Green Card" in Brussels, held in Tallinn, Estonia, on 2 June, decided to revoke of the suspension of the Moldovan National Bureau of Motor Insurers (BNAA) from the System "Green Card”.
Thus, Moldova keeps its membership in the International Monitoring System "Green Card", if it the urgently implements the measures that will recover stability and financial security of BNAA, with the participation of Moldovan authorities.
The Council of Bureaux from Brussels, showed confidence in Moldova, thus facilitating cross-border transportation of Moldovan citizens who will no longer have restrictions on purchasing "Green Card" insurance for traveling abroad.
The decision to suspend BNAA from the "Green Card" system was taken by the Council of Bureaux in May 2015 and was supposed to enter into force from 1 October 2015, but has benefited from a series of successive postponements. BNAA was to be sanctioned for failing to meet the deadline and extend the bank guarantee to 4 million 250 thousand euros.
The Moldovan National Bureau of Motor Insurers (BNAA) is a member of the Council of Bureaux, based in Brussels, which is an international association of national offices of the member states of the international insurance system "Green Card", which manages and coordinates relations between national offices.
