Moldovan speaker conveys condolences to Romanian people, families, relatives of victims of plane crash

Chisinau, 3 June /MOLDPRES/- Parliament Speaker Andrian Candu today laid flowers at the Romanian Embassy in Moldova and kept a minute of silence in the memory of victims of a plane crash occurred near Haragis village, Cantemir district, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

The speaker conveyed condolences to Romanian people, families, colleagues and relatives of the four persons dead in the crash - Doru Gavril, Voicu Șocae, Mihaela Dumea, Gabriel Sandu. At the same time, Candu signed in the condolence book, opened by the Romanian embassy in Chisinau, expressing gratitude for sacrifice of heroes in their mission to save human lives.

“Bows for heroism and dedication of those who died on duty, who made the impossible to save other human lives. SMURD team is one of heroes, which sacrificed life”, he said.

Candu pointed out that the authorities took efforts to investigate causes of the crash and to bring clarity in the tragic case. He announced that the possibility to open bank accounts for collecting donations for mourning families was considered.

Under a presidential decree, today is declared mourning day in Moldova.
