Chisinau, 10 June /MOLDPRES/ - The state budget general revenues amounted to almost 9.882 billion lei in the first five months of 2016. “Both the revenues managed by the Fiscal Inspectorate and the ones of the Customs grew by 1,255 million lei; yet, the general revenues recorded a drop of 0.92 per cent against the same period of 2015,” according to a report by the Finance Ministry.
The ministry explains this decrease by a normalization of the tempo of return of the value added tax (VAT) and excise duties, which are performed daily, without delay. This provides to enterprises conditions for carrying out their work. In the first five months of 2015, about 1,171 million lei was reimbursed, up by 388 million lei against the similar period of 2015.
The Finance Ministry’s information and media communication service noted that, in 2016, the budget had not received profit from the National Bank of Moldova (BNM), while, in May 2015, the budget collected a profit worth 889 million lei.
The Customs Service accumulated most revenues. Their absolute value stands at over 6 billion 515 million lei, up by 11 per cent against the same period of the last year.
As in the last years, the biggest contribution to the state budget was ascertained for March, which coincides with the period of private people and legal entities reporting their incomes. In the concerned month, the sums of revenues recorded an increase of more than 19 per cent, reaching 1.42 billion lei, the Finance Ministry also said.
The parliament on 9 June adopted, in the first and second readings, the draft state budget law for 2016, which provided for an over 11-per cent rise in revenues to the national public budget against 2015.
