Moldovan security and intelligence service sets up own decorations

Chisinau, 13 June /MOLDPRES/- The Security and Intelligence Service (SIS) of Moldova has set up several department distinctions.

It is about "Honored Officer" Cross, the institution’s supreme distinction, which will be provided only to officers of special service “for exceptional courage and altruism expressed in ensuring state security, special merits in protecting independence and territorial integrity of Moldova, successful execution and coordination of special missions at national and international level”.

Crosses “For Merits” and “For impeccable service” in three degrees have been set up. Also, SIS will have medals: “For cooperation” and “25 years of service and security of Moldova”.

President Nicolae Timofti issued a decree on setting new distinctions in General Armorial Record of Moldova.
