Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ - The UniAgroProtect Union of Agricultural Producers’ Associations have showed discontent with the fact that the maximal selling price for oil products, especially diesel, increased; as a result, the diesel price has grown1.3-fold in the last three weeks.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) on 14 June announced the ceiling selling retail prices for fuels for 15-28 June: 16.25 lei per one litre of Premium -95 petrol, 14.35 lei for one litre of diesel and 7.29 lei per one litre of liquid gas.
The ceiling selling retail prices for diesel were increased by 0.52 lei, the ones for petrol – by 0.04 lei and the prices for liquid gas grew by 0.09 lei, against the previous decision of setting the ceiling. The diesel price increased to the level announced by the oil companies ahead of the public discussions following the 23-25 May rises.
‘’In late last May, the oil companies synchronically increased the diesel prices by 1.1 lei up to 14.15 lei per one litre. In several days, at a request by the government, ANRE intervened and, in line with a new methodology of formation of prices’ for oil products, it limited the maximum price at 13.85 lei. Two weeks have passed and this ceiling, under the ANRE decision, was increased by 0.52 lei,’’ UniAgroProtect said.
‘’Today, almost all fuel supply stations posted a price of 14.35 lei for one litre of diesel. Hence, the diesel price has grown 1.3-fold in three weeks,’’ reads a press release by the Union of Agricultural Producers’ Associations. According to the Union, in the first two weeks of June, the Brent quotations ‘’underwent no significant changes. Moreover, a trend of slight drop in prices is noticed.’’
UniAgroProtect also said that one practically cannot openly watch in the media environment the evolution of the Platts Mediateran international quotations of the prices for oil products, which is at the basis of calculating the ceilings for petrol and diesel, according to the provisions of the new methodology. Farmers think that the increases in prices for diesel by 0.52 lei would be a kind of compensation for the ‘’inconvenience’’ created to oilmen, after the first increase of 1.1 lei was corrected by ANRE.
