Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/- The first deputy head of the Democratic Party (PD), Vlad Plahotniuc, told an interview that “he will not run for Moldova’s president or premier positions”.

“My political project is very clear till 2018 - contribute by all I can to building an economically and politically stable country, by supporting the vital reforms for modernizing Moldova, whether we are talking about the institutions in the economic sector, justice, social or other important areas. I will do this given the current position of politician. Someone wanted by the people will come for president, and the current government will take office until the end”, he said.

Plahotniuc pointed out that his political project was clearer than ever, and the only thing that should be priority now was “ensuring stability and supporting the government in everything it does for economic recovery and reform of the state”.

At the same time, the politician also said he had never thought how much influence he might have in political processes, as “it is impossible to make such an assessment”. He urges people “not to believe what politicians say, not even him, but to ask for concrete actions and to judge by results”.
