Consular Section of French Embassy in Moldova ceases working

Chisinau, 16 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) has been notified by the Embassy of France in Moldova about the fact that, starting from 1 July 2016, the latter would cease its consular activities in Moldova, the MAEIE information and media communication service has reported. 

According to the French diplomatic mission, the consular powers will be transferred to the consular department of the Embassy of France in Bucharest. At the same time, the French diplomatic mission in Chisinau will further provide consular protection to French citizens in Moldova.

Thus, for consular services, Moldova’s citizens are to appeal to the consular section of the French Embassy in Bucharest on the General Christian Tell Street No 6, district 1, or by phone: (0040-21) 303 10 00. The working schedule for public: Monday – Friday at 08:30-13:00 and 14:00-17:30.
