Moldovan president meets Romanian envoy

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/- President Nicolae Timofti today met Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Marius Lazurca, on a final office visit, the presidential press service has reported.
Timofti thanked the ambassador for his diplomatic activity in Moldova and for the support provided by Romania during the years in terms of European integration.
Also, the head of state mentioned the bilateral relations as normality, having on the basis community of history, culture and Romanian language.
For his part, Lazurca thanked for Moldova's achievements in the European integration path. "The Association Agreement has become the main generator of reform in Moldova. This effort changes Moldova from scratch. The same has happened in Romania and in the states of Central and Eastern Europe", he said.
Lazurca appreciated the standard brought in politics from Chisinau by Timofti, of which the future head of state should take into account. "The role you have played was providential. We are in the logic of pro-European reforms, as you have been an element of stability and resistance, because you discouraged some risky processes at one time", he also said.
Lazurca is an ambassador to Chisinau since 2010 and was awarded with the Order of Honor of Moldova by Timofti.
