Moldovan foreign minister meets Romanian MPs members of Joint Commission for European Integration

Chisinau, 23 June /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur today had a meeting with Romanian lawmakers Florin Constantinescu, Marius Sorin-Ovidiu Bota, Florinel Butnaru, Tinel Gheorghe, on a visit to Moldova to participate in the firth meeting of the Joint Commission for European Integration between the parliaments of Moldova and Romania, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.
The officials reviewed the achievements in implementing the Association Agreement and the Roadmap on reforms’ agenda, as well as the priorities of the Moldova-EU cooperation on the immediately next period. The Romanian MPs appreciated the Moldovan authorities’ efforts in the promotion of reforms and expressed determination to further back them by multidimensional support provided at the parliamentary level. At the same time, the Romanian lawmakers urged the Moldovan authorities to maintain the high pace of implementation of the commitment provided for in the Association Agreement with EU, thus ensuring the irreversibility of Moldova’s European integration.
Minister Andrei Galbur thanked the Romanian authorities for the constant support, including in ensuring the approximation and adjusting of Moldova’s legislation to the EU acquis.
