Four citizens of Moldova die in accidents in France, Ukraine

Chisinau, June 27. / MOLDPRES / - The Foreign and European Integration Ministry has informed about two accidents, on in France and another in Ukraine, which both occurred on 25 June.
According to the Foreign Ministry’s information and media communication department, the accident in France took place on June 25, at about 06.30, not far from Cerneux village, Seine-et-Marne region, road point 59 + 800 in Paris direction. The accident involved a minibus Mercedes with Moldovan number plates. Two out of six Moldovan citizens passengers in the van died in the wake of the accident, two were injured and another other two were provided medical care, being only slightly wounded.
As for the accident in Ukraine, it took place on the same date, 25 June, at 11.03 on the Kiev-Odessa highway, at km 165, in Zhashkiv district. A vehicle "Mercedes Sprinter" was heading from Tiraspol to Moscow, it overturned into the ditch after a wheel had come off. Two Moldovan citizens and a citizen of Russia died in the wake of the accident, another three persons were injured.
The representatives of the Embassy of Moldova in Paris and Kiev are in contact with the authorities of these countries, as well as with the relatives of the deceased and wounded people to provide all needed assistance.
