Moldovan deputy minister attends the OSCE annual security review conference

Chisinau, June 29 /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Foreign and European Integration Minister Lilian Darii attends OSCE Security Review Conference, held in Vienna, Austria, on 28 - 30 June 2016, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry's information and media communication service.
The conference hosts delegates from 57 OSCE member states and considers current issues on organization's agenda, particularly regarding the challenges and threats to European security and the way one should act to cope with them. Special attention is paid to the Ukraine crisis and the conflict in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, Nagorno Karabakh and Georgia. A special session will be focused on issues related to the revival of conventional arms control regimes and measures to strengthen confidence and security in the OSCE area.
Within topical sessions, Deputy Minister Darii will give speeches on agenda issues, particularly concerning the prospects of the Transnistrian conflict settlement process, evolution of the crisis in Ukraine, modernization of mechanisms of control over conventional weapons and promoting measures to build confidence and consolidate security in the OSCE area.
During the security conference in Vienna, the Moldovan official will have bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations from Austria, Germany and the USA.
