Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Government Coalition Council (CCG) assessed the progress and priorities in reforms’ implementation at a meeting on 28 June.

According to the CCG press service, the participants in the meeting discussed the fulfillment of the Roadmap for achieving the commitments taken in the European integration process, “which has entered the final straight and may be already described an achievement of Moldova’s leadership.” In this context, the leader of the Liberal Party (PL) Mihai Ghimpu, stressed that “it is necessary to specify the tasks for the near future.”

For his part, the first deputy leader of the Democratic Party (PDM), Vlad Plahotniuc, expressed the need of stable policies on behalf of the state to back business, which should continue the positive experience of the moratorium on state controls. “I discussed with the business environment, which welcomed the measures taken. I agree that we continue, in order to stop abuses, to have clarity, as we had a disaster in this sector several months ago,” the executive coordinator of the Government Coalition Council, Vlad Plahotniuc, said.

Another measure backed by the Coalition regards the reform of the wage payment system in the medical sector. The reform will be focused on the entire staff of the area and will bring benefits both to physicians and patients, by enhancing the motivation to provide qualitative services. Health Minister Ruxanda Glavan unveiled the draft at the Council. She reasoned that “the new mechanism ensures an increase in salaries by an average of 20 per cent for all categories of employees, ensures equity in the system and encourages young specialists in the medicine field.”

The participants in the CCG meeting also discussed the subject of strengthening the financial and banking sector, as well as an initiative of reforming the central public administration, and subsequently gave the final touches to a plan on implementing tasks.

The topics discussed by the Government Coalition Council are to be promoted on the agendas of the parliament and cabinet.
