Moldovan government extends moratorium on state controls by three months

Chisinau, 29 June /MOLDPRES/ - The moratorium on state controls will be extended by three months. The government approved a draft decision to this end today.
According to an informative note annexed to the document, the moratorium will be prolonged from 1 July 2016 till 30 September this year, including in order to ensure a friendly framework for developing the business environment, legislative and institutional optimization of state controls.
Economics Minister Octavian Calmic noted that “since the establishment of the moratorium till present, 62 petitions have been recorded on asking to carry out the state control on the spot. Forty two petitions of all their number have been turned down, ten were accepted and another ten were processed by setting forth the lack of competence on the submitted petition,” Calmic said.
Most petitions were received from the State Fiscal Principal Inspectorate, Financial Inspection, State Ecological Inspectorate, State Inspectorate for Supervision of Alcoholic Production, Constructions Inspectorate, Agency for Consumer’s Protection, National Agency for Food Safety, National Health Insurances Company, Administrative Authority, National Motor Transport Agency and the Public Institution, Master’s Office of Giurgiulesti Port.
