The measure aims to motivate doctors to remain in the local health system, and exclude inequities young specialists are subjected to.
Thus, starting from 1 July, the wage income of the employees of the medical institutions from the mandatory health insurance system will be composed both of the office salary and salary guarantees, as well as the remuneration for the registered activity indices. Monthly assessment of the fulfillment of performance indicators will be evaluated by an Assessment Board of the institution where the employee works.
The wage supplement provided for professional performances achieved in work is aimed at stimulating the improvement of the quality of healthcare services and is based on the quality of the services provided, contribution and professionalism of the employee.
Preliminary expenses necessary to increase the salary for the second half of 2016 are estimated at 295 million lei. Financial resources are provided for in the law of health insurances fund for this year.
Statistics shows that, in the recent years, the number of employees of medical institutions has been continuously decreasing. At the same time, the number of nurses has decreased by about 3,000 persons on this period.
