Russian delegation, Moldovan authorities to discuss bilateral commercial, economic cooperation

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - Moldovan authorities and a Russian delegation will discuss aspects of the commercial and economic cooperation between Moldova and Russia, possibility to develop them, present problems, as well as other issues dealing with the bilateral ties between the two countries in Chisinau on 5-6 July, the Economics Ministry’s press service has reported.
Participants in an enlarged meeting of the co-heads of the Moldovan-Russian inter-governmental commission, Octavian Calmic and Dmitry Rogozin, will tackle more issues of the trade and economic relations between the two states, especially in terms of Moldovan goods’ export to the Russian market, removing tariff and non-tariff obstacles to the mutual trade, simplifying imports of food and wine goods to Russia, etc.
According to preliminary agreements reached at earlier bilateral meetings, including in Bishkek, of the Prime Ministers Pavel Filip and Dmitry Medvedev, in Chisinau, the two sides will also discuss a draft Roadmap, which will contain the activities both states will have to undertake to remove the present constraints and prepare the joint commission.
Deputy Prime Ministers Octavian Calmic and Dmitry Rogozin will also discuss the issue of organizing the next meeting of the Moldovan-Russian inter-governmental commission for economic cooperation, due to be held in Russia next October, under an agreement between the sides.
