Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and European Integration Minister Andrei Galbur approached a string of topical subjects on Moldovan government’s work in an editorial which appeared in the European publication EuObserver, the Foreign and European Integration Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

Minister Galbur stressed, in particular, the Moldovan cabinet’s political will to implement the agenda of reforms, according to the Association Agreement with EU. In this respect, Galbur invoked the Moldovan authorities’ firm determination to achieve the goals set in the Roadmap in the terms established. Andrei Galbur daringly tackled the problems dealing with the political crisis, bank fraud, corruption and street protests, which represent the most serious provocations the Moldovan political establishment must face.

In this context, Galbur highlighted the special importance that all political forces and civil society join efforts, as well as to maintain a support on behalf of international development partners, in order to ensure full success of reforms and overcome the problems Moldova was confronting with. “Our task is that the deep reforms and decisive actions do not leave room for manoeuvre to corrupt officials, so that there are no more cases of conflicts of interests and other forms of infringements,” the head of the Moldovan diplomacy said.

Evoking the benefits Moldova and its citizens enjoy from the European integration, such  as the abolition of visa regime, facilitating academic mobility, increasing the export in Moldovan goods to the European market, etc,. Minister Galbur voiced hope that, by persevering on this way, Moldova would be able to become an eligible country for the European Union in the long run.
