Moldovans working, staying in France to get support upon return home

Chisinau, July 6 /MOLDPRES/ – Moldovans who worked and lived in France will receive reintegration support upon return home. In this regard, the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family (MMPSF) of Moldova and the French Office of Immigration and Integration signed a common cooperation declaration today.
Thus, Moldovan citizens will to benefit from material and financial aid for business development, employment and social inclusion ,once returned to Moldova.
Labour Minister Stela Grigoras, said that the signing of this agreement of bilateral cooperation between the two countries fell within the government’s action program for 2016-2020.
“We intend this partnership to stimulate our citizens from abroad to return home and implement best practices in our country, taken over there. We hope that this agreement is going to expand similar cooperation relations with other states, where a large number of Moldovans are registered”, said Grigoras.
For his part, General Director of the French Office for Immigration and Integration Diedier Leschi said that the French authorities would make every effort to accomplish successfully this collaboration agreement, which is welcome for both sides.
“Our intention is to help strangers who contributed to the development of our country, to return home and be able to integrate into society more easily. The knowledge gained abroad will be applied in activities or businesses they are going to develop here, and afterwards this can lead to cooperation with other structures from different sectors of France, which is beneficial for both countries”, said Leschi.
In this context, the Moldovan official also said that currently both the French authorities and the Moldovan ones “lack accurate data on how many Moldovans work in France. This partnership will give possibility to create a joint database and identify all citizens working legally or illegally”.
Since 2003, the French Office for Immigration and Integration has backed over a thousand projects on reintegration of Moldovan citizens who returned from France to Moldova.
