Moldovan cabinet sets up negotiators' group on new memorandum with IMF

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - The government has set up a negotiators’ group for ensuring support of talks on preparing the document on political and financial policies between the Moldovan government and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Prime Minister Pavel Filip made statements to this effect in the beginning of a cabinet meeting today.
“An IMF mission has come to Chisinau, which will stay in our country till 15 July. This time, we have a mission with which we will negotiate a financing agreement. The new accord with IMF will bring the country again on the map of investments and regaining trust in Moldova’s economic development potential. At the same time, foreign investors will have every certainty that can make investments in Moldova,” Pavel Filip said.
The prime minister specified that the group of negotiators, made up of leaders of the principal institutions in charge of the financial and banking situation from Moldova, would have the task “to negotiate the best formula for our country to sign a new memorandum, and the working group will assist the team of negotiators in preparing the document on economic and financial policies between the Moldovan government and IMF. We have ten extremely important days for the present and especially for the future of our country,” Filip added.
It is worth mentioning that a new mission of the International Monetary Fund is in Moldova on 5-15 July.
