Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the beginning of a today’s cabinet meeting, referred to meetings he had with representatives of the civil society on the last days. The PM said the dialogue with the civil society was a priority of the cabinet, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

In the context, the prime minister asked the State Chancellery to develop and publicly consult a decision on mechanisms of cooperation between the public authorities and civil society, as well as to identify the way of latter is going to  participate in the distribution of the foreign financial assistance

“We discussed more interesting things; yet, certainly, we particularly emphasized the instruments and platforms of communication between the public authorities and civil society. This is an important goal for us; I strongly believe that, if we go in the same direction, both the public authorities and civil society, we will achieve more qualitative results more quickly. This is an objective found in the Roadmap and our commitments to the development partners, as well as to the society,” Pavel Filip said.

At the meeting, the PM demanded that competent institutions analyse, in a short period, NGOs’ proposals on improve the normative framework on decision-making transparency and come up with draft decisions due to set simple and clear-cut duties in the cooperation with civil society representatives, especially in terms of consultation processes. “Each institution should have a list of non-governmental organizations from the field with necessary expertise and abilities, and once the draft placed on the platform www.particip.gov.md, they should be informed about it as well. I want us to establish a very clear mechanism of cooperation,” Filip noted.

Not in the least, the prime minister also touched upon the opportunity of civil society’s participation in the process of impartial and fair distribution of the foreign assistance provided to Moldova. “It is good if there is also a representative of the civil society in the inter-ministerial committee on coordinating the foreign assistance, from my viewpoint. We should find this mechanism, on how the civil society’s representative is identified, so that he/she is member of this process,” the PM added.
