Chisinau, July 8 /MOLDPRES/ – Political parties are to submit reports on their financial management for the first semester of 2016 till 15 July.
According to the Central Election Commission’s (CEC) press service, “the report will be submitted to the Commission, in line with the model on the financing of political parties and subsequently they will be made public.”
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the deputy head of the Communication, public relations and media department, Corneliu Pasat, said that parties failing to submit reports on financial management ''will be warned, then they will be offered a term for removing infringements. In the long run, in such cases, CEC will suspend transfer of subsidies from the state or will impose fines of 300-500 contravention units for decision-makers from the formation,” said Pasat.
CEC said that so far only the Liberal Party presented the financial report.
