Chisinau, July 11 /MOLDPRES/ – The Emergency Medicine Institute from Chisinau today has received a new humanitarian aid batch, provided by international humanitarian pharmacy Anjou, France.
The humanitarian aid was donated with the support of Non-Government Organization Degetel (Littlefinger). The assistance comprises over 60 medical beds and mattresses, wardrobes, bedside tables, medical supplies and bedspreads, etc.
Director of Public Association Degetel Philippe Chaudier said that the event proved solidarity with patients from Moldova. “This is the third batch to the Emergency Medicine Hospital. We plan for the future to change all 600 beds needed by the institution. We do not stop here, we collaborate with the hospital of Balti, for which we want to make the same donation,” said Philippe Chaudier.
“Moldova now very much needs this sort of charity act. Unfortunately, the budget does not allow us purchasing such medical devices, as they are quite expensive. This donation is meant to improve the quality of healthcare services, so we hope that, in the long run too, we will enjoy a good collaboration,” said Deputy Health Minister Oleg Creciun.
Emergency Medicine Institute Director Mihail Ciocanu said the humanitarian aid would be distributed not later than today throughout healthcare counterparts of the institution. “During this year, we will benefit from at least 250 beds. Already next year, we expect to have the entire amount of beds changed and better conditions for patients’ admission.”
“The financial value of the today aid is around 100 thousand euros. So far, we have received humanitarian assistance worth at least three hundred thousand euros”, added Ciocanu.
