Moldovan energy regulatory agency reduces ceiling retail selling price for petrol by two per cent

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has set the ceiling retail selling price for Premium-95 petrol to 15.93 lei for 13-26 July, against 16.11 lei on the previous period.
The ceiling price for diesel rose insignificantly from 14 lei per one litre to 14.03 lei per litre, according to data posted on ANRE’s official webpage.
ANRE established the concerned prices in line with the provisions of the new Methodology of forming and applying the prices for oil products, in force starting from 13 May 2016. The prices posted on the ANRE webpage today will be valid 14 calendar days.
Under the Methodology, ANRE every 14 days on Tuesdays sets the ceiling retail selling prices for petrol, diesel and liquefied gas and publishes them on its webpage till 13:00. On the same day, each operator on the oil products market will determine, proceeding from the ceiling prices established by ANRE, the retail selling prices for the oil products, will publish them on its webpage and will post them on informative panels placed at fuel supply stations. The prices set by operators will enter into force and will be applied for all consumers, starting from Wednesday at 00:01 night.
The ANRE press service also said that the mechanism of formation of selling prices for liquefied gas had been changed. After the entrance into force of the amendments and completions to the law on oil products market, made on 17 June, market operators will establish the wholesale and retail selling prices for liquefied gas according to another mechanism, set by the Methodology of formation and applying the prices for oil products.
